The legend of Tiger Woods continues.
After a vintage Sunday performance at Augusta National, Tiger captured his 15th career major championship and fifth title at The Masters.
Starting the day two shots off the lead, Tiger overtook a stacked leaderboard by methodically picking apart the course he knows better than most with his bag full of TaylorMade Golf clubs. With a fifth green jacket in sight, Tiger closed with a 2-under 70 on Sunday to finish the tournament at 13-under.
In wet and windy conditions, accuracy off the tee and into the greens at Augusta was paramount. Tiger showed all week he was more than up to the task.
He hit countless big drives off the tee with his M5 driver and precise controlled shots with his M5 fairway. He even had the confidence to thread his P·7TW long irons onto the fairways, such as the par-4 third hole, to set himself up for success. Tiger hit 71% of fairways during the final round, his best mark of the tournament.
Tiger’s short game was in fine form all week. He was dialed in with his pair of Milled Grind Wedges, setting up birdie looks and using them as a safety valve to get out of trouble. Tiger carded 22 birdies and no double bogeys over the course of the week.
