Team TaylorMade Qualifiers | U.S. Mid-Amateur

We celebrate the three TaylorMade employees who qualified for the 2021 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship, earning a shot at making the field for the 2022 U.S. Open

TaylorMade is a company of golfers. Whether it's servicing the game's best players, customizing equipment at every level, or playing the game ourselves, it's that love for the game that connects us to the products we make and the people who use them.

That love is on full display today, as three TaylorMade employees compete in the 2021 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship (Sept. 25-30). Hosted at Sankaty Head Golf Club (pictured above ©Getty Images) and Miacomet Golf Course on Nantucket Island, the championship is for the nation's best amateur golfers ages 25 and older. The winner will receive an exemption into the 2022 U.S. Open at The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts.

Here's a quick look at the Team TaylorMade golfers in the field:

Andrew Morgan

Andrew is an accomplished player and a former college teammate of Collin Morikawa at Cal Berkley. His core job at TaylorMade is to identify the future stars of our game at the junior, college and amateur levels. He also plays an integral role in managing our brand's relationship with the AJGA.

Joe Ryon

Joe began his career at TaylorMade on the Advanced Research team before transitioning to his current role at The Kingdom as a Master Club Fitter. With his technical background and understanding of golf’s mental aspects, Joe relies on his passion for the game to deliver a well-rounded fitting experience that is catered to each individual player. He’s in one the most elite clubs in golf: Players who’ve shot 59.

Juan Yumar

This is Juan’s third USGA event, having already played twice in the U.S. Junior. He had a stellar junior growing up in Venezuela and has represented his country on the international stage in numerous events. He played college golf at Barry University in Miami, Florida, before joining Team TaylorMade in 2018.
