Rory McIlroy Supports Youth on Course during 100 Hole Hike at Palm Beach Par 3

Sometimes, 100 holes of golf just isn’t enough. Especially when you’re raising money for a great cause like Youth on Course (YOC), an organization that ensures affordable access to golf for kids around the country.

Across two dates (9/9 and 9/30), a team of more than 30 TaylorMade employees participated in a 100 Hole Hike at Colina Park Golf Course in San Diego. Some dedicated (or crazy?) souls opted to hike on both days! In total, the group raised more than $20,000 for YOC.

We didn’t stop there, however. TaylorMade CFO Rick Paschal, a YOC board member, took on his own Hike on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at Palm Beach (Florida) Par 3. Special guest Rory McIlroy conducted a clinic for YOC members and played a couple of holes with each hiker.

As a team, the total contribution from TaylorMade Hikers eclipsed $60,000.

About Youth on Course and TaylorMade

In 2021, TaylorMade teamed with Youth on Course to create a special subset of their membership called DRIVE Club…Diversity. Respect. Inclusion. Voice. Equality. This exceptional group of golfing youngsters played for $1 and were challenged to earn TaylorMade gear simply by playing the game they love. The more they played, the more they could earn. The goal was to cultivate their passion for the game and support them on their golfing journeys.

The inaugural class (2021) included individuals representing more than a dozen different cultures/ethnicities. In 2022, the program expanded to include 125 kids and Community Hubs – special sites where DRIVE Club members can invite a friend from their community to experience golf for free.
