It's April, and we find ourselves in a familiar location. The venue remains the same but there have been some subtle tweaks to the course. It's a similar storyline with TaylorMade's Season Opener Staff Bag and Headcovers.
Over the last several years, golfers have rushed to get their hands on the classically designed capsule that marks the unofficial start of the golf season - much like they do when the gates open on a Thursdays morning. Where we've found inspiration in tradition, and that theme remains the central to these designs, we've pushed the boundaries to deliver elevated aesthetics across the board.
We've energized green throughout the collection, most notably in the iridescent finish of the staff bag. It reflects the course's lush landscape as well as the championship adornment. Along the base you'll find 55/86, signaling the 55 champions who've claimed victory across the 86 playings of the event.
If you step onto the grounds, you will be swept away by the stunning sight of azaleas in full bloom. And just as these vibrant flowers add a touch of natural elegance, we've infused their beauty into the design of our 2023 Season Opener Collection. Crafted with utmost care and attention to detail, the bag and headcovers boast the TaylorMade logo fashioned out of vibrant pink petals. As you peer inside the bag, the subtle yet playful interior is lined with the same charming blooms.
Four of the last six champions have come from Team TaylorMade. To honor our champions of tradition, we've started a new tradition of our own. Scottie Scheffler, the 2022 winner, will carry a special bag with a golden strap. This kicks off a practice that we'll continue for all Team TaylorMade defending champions at this iconic event.
Adjoining putter headcovers feature debossed floral patterns for an elevated touch and feel. They feature the same signature azaleas found along the bag's interior lining and ball pouch. Driver, fairway and hybrid covers carryover the iridescent green finish with a more formal nod to tradition with the font.
Rich with tradition, enveloped in beauty and primed for history-making moments, the TP5 pix™ Season Opener represents everything that makes golf’s first major its most pristine. Adorned by icons of azaleas in full bloom, these special edition pix golf balls feature a refreshing design and elevated packaging.
