The AIG Women’s Open. St Andrews. Team TaylorMade. Golf fans, HERE WE GO!
Team TaylorMade has a loaded roster of championship contenders prepared to take home the final major championship of the year. Let’s get into what’s been happening this week.
TaylorMade + Major Championship = An eye-catching collection! This year’s staff bag and accessories celebrate those the rich history of women’s golf traditions as well as fervent Scottish pride.
One of the best parts of our role on Team TaylorMade is getting to watch Nelly Korda on the range and during her practice rounds. The first thing we noticed on Monday was that Nelly had a Spider Tour X putter with her on course.
Nelly requested to test a few Spider models prior to St. Andrews and liked what she saw. Our team then built another model at our Carlsbad HQ and shipped it to Scotland prior to her practice rounds beginning. Nelly chose that short sight line model, put in through the paces in practice and it is in the bag as of the first round! Below is her spec:

NEW DRIVER FOR BROOKE
Brooke Henderson decided to make a key change to her driver set up. Why? She noticed that she was spinning her driver too much last week and facing the test of The Old Course she wanted to hit low bullets. Changing from a Fujikura Ventus TR Blue 5 S to Fujikura Ventus TR Black 5 S and switching into an Qi10 Driver 8 degree head, she found her preferred ball flight. Tour Representative Glenn Muncrief caught up with her after her practice rounds “The feedback was great, she’s hitting those stinger rocket bullets! It’s in the bag this week.”
